IASTM utilizes uniquely engineered stainless steel instruments with specific treatment edges to provide an efficacious method of manual soft tissue therapy. Soft tissue restrictions from dysfunctional fascia and fibrotic tissue are addressed with this particular method. With an emollient applied, the provider runs the instrument firmly (‘scrapes’) over the specific tissue of interest with repetitive strokes to help release fibrosis, improve range of motion, and decrease pain.
