Moon-Yun Chang, L.Ac.

Hello! My name is Moon-Yun, or Moon for short, and I am a practitioner of Worsley Five Element Acupuncture. This practice is rooted in the understanding of the five elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. When these elements become imbalanced, it can manifest as energetic blockages or physical and emotional symptoms. My mission is to help restore balance within your unique ecosystem, guiding you on your journey toward total wellness.
I was born in Seoul, South Korea, and grew up in New York City. My journey initially began in the arts, studying art history and photography before working as a professional creative and designer. At age 19, I sustained a back injury that led me to my mother’s acupuncturist, whose successful treatment sparked my interest in acupuncture. A decade later, seeking help for depression, I turned to a Worlsey Five Element acupuncturist, a transformative experience that deepened my understanding of acupuncture’s profound power and solidified my commitment to a lifelong path of healing. Drawn to the healing arts, I studied massage therapy in Kathmandu, Nepal, and at the Brenneke School of Massage and Wu Hsing Tao School for acupuncture in Seattle, Washington. The principles of Worsley Five Element Acupuncture—its deep connection to nature and Taoist philosophy honoring qi, the creative life force—resonated deeply with me and became the foundation of my practice. As both an Asian immigrant and an artist, I bring a unique perspective to healing, blending creativity and empathy to support those navigating chronic illness, depression, or pain. I understand that moments of hopelessness and uncertainty are natural, but together, we can restore harmony and clarity. I am honored to hold space for your healing and walk alongside you on your journey to well-being.
