Alana Campbell, N.D., L.Ac.

My journey to becoming a doctor began with the summers I spent as a kid in the woods of the pacific northwest, learning about the medicinal properties of plants. These treasured moments inspired a reverence for the healing power of nature within me. Being in nature not only nourishes the mind and the body, it brings peace right down to the soul. While studying biology at the University of Portland, I was inspired by the elegance of the human body. My study of anatomy and physiology showed me that the human body is an intricate web of perfectly harmonized chemical reactions that reflect the ecology of a forest. This led me to naturopathic medical school, where I got to deepen my understanding of physiology through the study of conventional medicine while also studying traditional medicine, which gathers its wisdom from nature.

Now, as a naturopathic doctor and licensed acupuncturist, I love working closely with people and appreciate the depth of care we can give as natural medicine providers. The focus of my practice is on women’s health, fertility support, aging, trauma-informed care, and mental health.  As a dual licensed provider, I am excited about working with you to find the root causes of illness and facilitate deep healing.  Healing takes courage and together we can uncover the unique obstacles to your health, learn how to nourish your body, and restore balance to your life. My approach is to nurture vitality by working with the body’s natural regulators: the immune, neurologic, and endocrine systems. I am passionate about using both conventional medicine and traditional healing techniques to support balance in these systems. I look forward to working together to help you achieve your goals!
