Dr. Katelyn Bailey, ND, L.Ac.

Dr. Katelyn Bailey (she/her) is a licensed naturopathic physician and acupuncturist completing her first year of residency with Dr. David Chang. Dr. Bailey graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine with degrees in both Naturopathic Medicine and Classical Chinese Medicine. Trained extensively in integrative primary care, Dr. Bailey’s clinical interests focus on the intersection between pain, sleep, and mental health. She believes strongly that all bodies deserve pain-free movement, play, and recreation.

Growing up playing a wide variety of sports, Dr. Bailey found mainstream sports medicine lacked capability in supporting gender diverse and bigger bodied athletes. She strives to make her practice a place where patients can pursue their unique and individual goals for recreation, exercise, or competition. In practice, Dr. Bailey supports her patients with a mixture of hands on modalities such as acupuncture and body work, while also providing lifestyle support through healthy movement, nourishing foods, and restful recovery.

Dr. Bailey has pursued advanced training in shiatsu massage and craniosacral therapy, becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2018. She has also completed additional training in regenerative injection therapies and myofascial release to further address musculoskeletal and orthopedic complaints.

During her studies, Dr. Bailey found a passion for community health and spent time seeing patients at integrative behavioral health, outpatient addiction, and county health clinics. Her training has afforded opportunities to travel to Tanzania to study the complexities of global health and to Germany to study the roots of naturopathic medicine.

Prior to her medical education, Dr. Bailey attended the University of California – Davis, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She spent 4 years working in a natural foods restaurant and draws on her cooking experience to help patients find both health and pleasure in their meals. Outside of medicine, she enjoys competing in tackle football, water polo, and Australian rules football. She also enjoys traveling, attempting ambitious cooking projects, and renovating her house.
